#CAPACITY4EU: The Public Dialogue in Florești Highlighted Agricultural and Energy Opportunities and Challenges of European Integration Process

The initiative “CAPACITY4EU – Civil Society for EU Accession” brought together representatives of civil society, local authorities, and public institutions in Florești on May 26 for a Policy Dialogue. The event is part of a national series of regional dialogues aimed at promoting civic participation and informing local communities about the EU accession process of the Republic of Moldova.
Carolina Novac, State Secretary at the Ministry of Energy, presented Moldova’s progress and challenges in aligning with European standards in the energy sector. She emphasized the importance of energy security, green transition, and regional cooperation, highlighting the role of both public and private actors in modernizing the sector.
Tatiana Nistorica, Member of the Economic Council under the Prime Minister and IPIS agriculture expert, spoke about current opportunities and constraints in agriculture and rural development. She highlighted the need for institutional reform, access to EU funding, and support for small producers in the integration process.
The project “CAPACITY4EU – Civil Society for EU Accession” is implemented by the Institut für Europäische Politik, in partnership with the Institute for Strategic Initiatives (IPIS) and the Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE), with the support of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
