Given the successful experience of the previous editions of Transnistrian Dialogues, IPIS is organizing “Transnistrian Dialogues: Women’s edition”. The main goal of the project is to increase the role of women in peace building and conflict prevention and resolution in Moldova.

Women from both the right and left bank of the Dniester River take part in the project. Focus is on women leaders and opinion makers, such as businesswomen, local councilors, and community activists. During the implementation period several seminars/workshops and discussion sessions are organized on-line, including a final high-level conference.

The first component provides a solid introduction to areas such as diplomacy, conflict resolution and mediation. Several thematic sessions are organized for this purpose, which includes participation of established experts in thematic fields.

The second component aims to equip women participants with practical skills to prepare them to have a more active and vocal presence in public life. The participants benefit from training in fundraising, project management and public speaking.

The programme is implemented with the support of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ireland and Belgian Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation.

Project implementation period: June – December 2021

Total budget: 22 000 EUR
