The team of the project “CAPACITY4EU – Civil Society for EU Accession” gathered representatives of local authorities, private sector and mayors of villages on November 26 in Glodeni district.

The Dialogue participants discussed the role of regions and local public authorities in the EU accession negotiations, their cooperation with the Government and the Office for European Integration, represented at the event by Mr. Adrian Fratea.

The adviser to the Ministry of Economy, Mr. Vlad Șuleanschii, presented the Government’s actions undertaken to de-bureaucratize the business environment and improve the investment climate. Mr. Șuleanschii also spoke about the economic side of EU accession: opportunities and options for LPAs, local business, and pre-accession funds.

The topic of potential, but also challenges of EU accession negotiations was covered by Tatiana Nistorica, Member of the Prime Minister’s Economic Council. Agriculture and rural development served as a case study.

The project “CAPACITY4EU – Civil Society for EU Accession” is implemented by the Institut für Europäische Politik, in partnership with the Institute for Strategic Initiatives (IPIS) and the Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE), with the support of the Federal Foreign Office  of Germany.
