This year, we decided to dedicate our Dialogues to young people and gathered 40 people from both banks of the Nistru river.
The tender is announced within the project “Transnistrian dialogues – empowering younger generation of societal influencers to promote solutions in the context of Transnistria conflict”, implemented by IPIS and supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
How do we perceive the European Union and what does our cooperation really mean? What does the association with the EU envisage and what possibilities does this agreement offer for Moldova? How to get access to European funds? How does the European Union affect the observance of human rights and ethnic communities in Moldova? These and other questions were discussed with the citizens of Basarabeasca during our first regional dialogue, which took place in the framework of the program “EU in Moldova: Perceptions and Reality”.
This video is produced within the project “EU Perceptions and Reality in Moldova” wich is implemented by the Berlin Institute of European Policies (IEP) in partnership with the Institute for Strategic Initiatives of Moldova (IPIS) and the Institute for European Policies and Reforms of Moldova (IPRE) with the support of the German Federal Foreign Office.
The overall objective of the project is to make a substantial contribution to overcoming the social dividing lines of the EU rapprochement process in Moldova by promoting informed intra-societal dialogue on the values and norms underlying the Association Agreement and the concrete benefits of modernising Moldova in the course of the EU rapprochement process.

On April 5, in Chisinau, the annual IPIS conference was held as part of the “Transnistrian dialogues” program. International and local experts, diplomats, journalists, representatives of civil society from the two banks of the Dniester discussed the current situation around Transnistria and the prospects for settlement.
IPIS met with participants of the second edition of the “Leadership Academy”, founded with the support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS). This year we divided the Academy course into two parts. In the first issue, from May to June, the focus will be on issues of public administration. The cadets of the Academy will take part in practical exercises, meet with politicians, community leaders and employees of state structures, as well as visit several regions of the country: Gagauzia and Transnistria. In the autumn edition of the Academy, emphasis will be placed on e-democracy and e-guvernance practices.
The Institute for Strategic Initiatives (IPIS) is a Moldovan NGO established in 2017, uniting professionals with diverse views. IPIS works to address Moldova’s strategic development challenges from a non-political, non-partisan perspective. IPIS expertise covers these areas: good governance and public administration reforms; public involvement and participatory government; conflict resolution and inter-ethnic consolidation; communications. The tender is announced within the following project, implemented by IPIS and supported by the European Endowment for Democracy (EED): Bridging the divide between Moldovans – building a real agenda for citizens”. The goal of the project is to promote an inclusive agenda of reforms for Moldova beyond the agenda of a geopolitical divide, as well as ensure citizens’ engagement and participation in the decision making process. Within this project, “Bridging the divide between Moldovans – building a real agenda for citizens”, IPIS is seeking company to produce 30 professional, 1-minute videos with infographics, which will expose identify and promote, in a clear and accessible language for citizens, real policy priorities. The deadline for the submission of complete offers is April 26, 2019. Upon expiration of the deadline, an evaluation committee will verify whether the Application Form is properly filled in, the package is complete and the stated criteria are met.
